Choose an artist: You may already have a theme
or rough idea of what you would like portrayed in your window.
It is essential that you choose an artist who you feel will not
only honour this theme, but also do justice to the following elements:
- People who assemble in the building
- Architecture of the building
- Interior design
- Other windows (if there are existing stained glass windows)
- Interior lighting
After reviewing several artists' portfolios you
may choose one (or more) to design for you. The artist will arrange
a meeting at the site to get a feel for the environment. Depending
on the size of your commission, the designing phase can take anywhere
between 4 and 8 weeks. Once the design is finalized we will be
able to give you an exact cost estimate for the design, fabrication
and installation of your window.
We offer professional consultations for anyone
considering stained glass. We can make recommendations for framing
and insulation / protection glass. Furthermore we can introduce
you to a variety of artists that can design specifically for your
space. We work in close collaboration with proprietors, architects,
consultants, congregations and artists to achieve the best possible
results for each building.
